$100K Lottery Ticket Sold In South Jersey As NJ Jackpots Swell

The top prizes for the Powerball and Mega Millions combined for more than $1.1 billion.

VINELAND, NJ — Although the ballooning jackpots for the Powerball and Mega Million remain up for grabs, a South Jersey lottery player won big last weekend.

A ticket sold at Xpress Mart (1715 E. Wheat Rd., Vineland) generated $100,000 in Saturday's Jersey Cash 5 drawing. The ticket matched all five numbers drawn.

The winning numbers were 01, 06, 13, 18 and 27, with an XTRA number of 02. Xpress Mart will receive $2,000 for selling the winning ticket.

Meanwhile, the combined jackpots of the nation's two biggest lottery games surged to more than $1 billion, with $650 million available for the Powerball and the Mega Millions hitting $480 million.

Powerball drawings occur at 10:59 p.m. every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. Participants must purchase tickets at least an hour before each contest.

Mega Millions holds drawings at about 11 p.m. on Tuesdays and Fridays. Purchase tickets before 10:45 p.m. on those days to qualify.
