11 Candidates for Three Seats on Gloucester Township BOE

Who's running in this year's school board elections?

Candidates in both the Gloucester Township and Black Horse Pike Regional School Board of Education elections have some competition this year.

In Gloucester Township, the Board of Education will have a new look following November’s elections.

There are 11 candidates running for three open, three-year seats, and none of them are incumbents.

The candidates include:

  • Carlton Adams, of Magnolia;
  • Terri Fretz, of Blackwood;
  • Tamara Jackson, of Blackwood;
  • Kathryn Petner, of Glendora;
  • Brian Reagan, of Laurel Springs;
  • Susanne Reilly, of Glendora;
  • Robert Ritz, of Blackwood;
  • Deborah Simone, of Blackwood;
  • Samuel Sweet, of Sicklerville;
  • Patrick Thomas Sr., of Erial; and
  • Theresa Welsh, of Magnolia.

Five candidates are running for three open, three-year seats on the Black Horse Pike Regional School District’s Board of Education.

Board President Jay McMillan and Board Members Dawn Leary and Jennifer Storer are running for re-election.

They will be challenged by Laurel Springs resident Charles W. Pildis II and Sicklerville resident Samuel Garro.

The deadline to file to run in this year’s school board elections was Monday.

The list remains unofficial as Friday at 4 p.m. is the deadline to challenge petition.

Election Day is Nov. 3.
