$1M Lottery Ticket Sold At New Jersey Store On Christmas Day

MONROE TOWNSHIP, NJ — One recent shopper at a New Jersey convenience store got a special gift for Christmas: a $1 million-winning lottery ticket.

A ticket sold at Traders Variety on the Black Horse Pike in Williamstown matched all five white balls in the Christmas Day Powerball drawing, the New Jersey Lottery announced on Thursday.

The winning numbers for the Wednesday, Dec. 25, drawing were: 02, 04, 16, 30 and 46. The Red Power Ball number was 20. The Multiplier number was 02.

The lucky ticket was a second-tier prize, and the jackpot is now up to $200 million, according to Lottery Acting Executive Director James Carey. The next drawing is Saturday, Dec. 28, 10:59 p.m.

In all, 28,368 New Jersey players won an estimated $142,845 in prizes ranging from $4 to $200, according to the lottery commission. Winners have 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prize.
