2-Alarm Fire Destroys Building, Closes Route 130 In South Jersey

2 southbound lanes have reopened since the fire made a business's garage collapse.

PENNSAUKEN TOWNSHIP, NJ — A 2-alarm fire destroyed a commercial garage early Monday morning, resulting in the complete closure of Route 130. Officials have since partially reopened the southbound side in Pennsauken Township.

Emergency personnel transmitted a second alarm with an all-hands signal for the building fire at 4:59 a.m. in the 7500 block of Rout 130 North. The blaze made the garage collapse, according to the Pennsauken Fire Department.

The fire impacted Steve Flanagan Truck Services — a towing business that repairs cars and trucks at various South Jersey locations, according to its website.

Officials reported no injuries. The Pennsauken Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the incident.

Since closing Route 130 in both directions, officials reopened two southbound lanes. Expect delays of 15-20 minutes, transportation officials said at 10:05 a.m. Monday.

The northbound side in the area remained closed as of 10:30 a.m. Monday.
