2 Men Arrested on Weapons, Drug Charges in Gloucester Township

Gloucester Township, NJ -- Two men were arrested on weapons and narcotics charges after Gloucester Police investigated a suspicious vehicle at the Millbridge Apartment Complex early Monday morning.

Marquis V Smith, 26, of Pennsuaken, was charged with distribution of CDS, possession of CDS (Marijuana Over 50 Grams), possession of drug paraphernalia and weapon possession of dum dum bullets (Hollow Point Bullets found in his possession).

Isaiah M Morgan, 21, of Camden, was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of an imitation firearm.

Police responded to the 300 building of the complex around 3:29 a.m. Police say they immediately smelled the odor of marijuana upon making contact with the two men.

As they spoke to the men, police say they also saw a black handgun inside of the vehicle.

After securing both the men and the gun, police discovered the gun was actually an Airsoft handgun with its orange tip painted black.

Police say they also found  five vials of marijuana along with a back pack containing 99 vials and 95 clear zip lock style baggies of marijuana in the vehicle.

Smith and Morgan were transported to Gloucester Township Police Department headquarters, and were later remanded to the Camden County Jail in default of bail.
