$2 Million Bail for Man Suspected of Beating Gloucester Township Woman to Death
Miguel Angel Diaz, formerly of Mount Laurel, was staying with the victim, according to the Courier Post.

Bail has been set at $2 million for a man accused of beating a Gloucester Township woman to death last week, the Courier Post reports.
Miguel Angel Diaz, 30, was charged with first-degree murder in the death of 59-year-old Susan D. Johnson.
Diaz’s last known address was in Mount Laurel, police said last week. Diaz was staying with Johnson in the Sicklerville section of the Township, as was the witness in the case, according to the report.

Diaz allegedly beat Johnson to death following an argument over money.
Diaz told the witness he didn’t want to go back to jail before killing Johnson, according to the report.

Diaz allegedly transported Johnson’s body to a wooded area near Willow Ridge Park in Evesham Township.
The witness provided information that led police the location of Johnson’s body.
Johnson’s body was found in a plastic tub, according to the report.
Diaz was arrested shortly thereafter.
A post-mortem examination revealed the cause of Johnson’s death to be blunt force trauma to the head.
Diaz allegedly used multiple objects, according to the report.
Johnson’s son reported her missing on Thursday, according to the report.
Police then conducted a wellness check at her home, where they found signs of a struggle.
