2 Shot At South Jersey Apartment Complex; Suspect Arrested: Police
1 of the victims was hospitalized and in critical but stable condition, authorities said.
BRIDGETON, NJ — A suspect was arrested after authorities say he shot two men, leaving one critical, last weekend at a Cumberland County apartment complex.
Cas Albert Miller, 31, shot the victims Saturday morning at the Amity Heights complex on Pamphylia Avenue in Bridgeton, police said. He was arrested a couple of hours later after detectives stopped his vehicle outside of the complex.
Miller, who lives at Amity Heights, was charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault and several weapons offenses. He was placed in the Cumberland County Jail while the investigation continues.

Officers found both victims — ages 45 and 31 — at the scene after reaching the complex for reported gunshots. One man was taken to Cooper University Hospital in Camden, where he was in critical but stable condition as of Monday. The other was treated and released at the scene, police said.
A motive behind the shooting wasn't immediately clear.

Bridgeton's police chief lauded law enforcement for quickly identifying and locating Miller.
"All around good police work from the officers who responded initially to the detectives who conducted the investigation identified the suspect and apprehended him," Chief Michael Gaimari Sr. said in a statement.
