6 Arrested In Gloucester Township Drug Bust: Police

The bust happened on Station Avenue on Wednesday.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — Six people were arrested and various drugs were seized following a long-term investigation into the sale of dangerous and illegal narcotics, Gloucester Township police said Wednesday afternoon.

Police executed a search warrant on the 600 block of Station Avenue on Wednesday. During the raid, they said they seized 3/4 of one ounce of methamphetamine, a small amount of heroin, prescription pills — including oxycodone, alprazolam and hydrocodone, — marijuana under 50 grams, numerous drug paraphernalia and numerous hypodermic syringes.

Resident Todd Mitchell, 51, was charged with one count of distribution of CDS within 500 feet of a public housing building (Franklin Square Apartments), three counts of conspiracy to distribute CDS (methamphetamine), one count of distribution of CDS (methamphetamine), one count of possession of CDS (methamphetamine), one count of possession with the intent to distribute CDS (methamphetamine), one count of possession of CDS (oxycodone 30mg pills), possession of CDS (marijuana under 50 grams) and possession of CDS paraphernalia.

Resident Angela Strumlak, 22, was charged with one count of distribution of CDS within 500 feet of a public housing building (Franklin Square Apartments), three counts of distribution of CDS (methamphetamine), four counts of possession of CDS (methamphetamine), one count of conspiracy to distribute CDS (methamphetamine), one count of possession of CDS (oxycodone 30mg pills), one count of possession of CDS (alprozolam 2mg pills), possession of CDS (heroin), possession of CDS paraphernalia and possession of hypodermic syringes.

Resident Robert Antonelli, 45, was charged with possession of CDS (acetaminophen and hydrocodone bitartrate 750mg/7.5mg pills), possession of CDS paraphernalia and possession of hypodermic syringes. He also had active arrest warrant, police said.

Resident Stacy Santoro, 37, was charged with possession of CDS (methamphetamine), possession of CDS (marijuana under 50 grams) and possession of CDS paraphernalia.

Resident William Lexa, 54, was charged with possession of CDS (heroin), and she had an outstanding arrest warrant for $500, police said.

Brian Richardson, 38, of Paulsboro, was arrested on three outstanding arrest warrants.

Additionally, the township’s Code Enforcement and Community Development units issued citations for unsafe living conditions. Gloucester Township Public Works Neighborhood Enhancement Program officials responded to secure and clean up the property.

Officers of the Gloucester Township Police Community Relations Bureau spoke with residents in the neighborhood to help keep them informed and invite them to become partners in keeping the community even safer.

Law enforcement officers from the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, West Deptford Police Department, and the Bellmawr Police Department also assisted with this long term investigation.
