83-Year-Old Woman Pinned Under Car, Then Freed, In Gloucester Township, N.J.
An investigation revealed that the woman was attempting to place items into the trunk when the victim's 84 year old sister exited.

An 83-year-old woman was freed after she was pinned under a car Sunday in Gloucester Township, police said.
At approximately 12 p.m., Gloucester Township Police Department received a 9-1-1 call reporting that a pedestrian had been struck on Fresno Court in the Glendora Section of Gloucester Township.
Arriving officers found an elderly female trapped under a vehicle. Officers were able to raise the vehicle off of the victim using a vehicle jack and removed her from under the vehicle, police said.

They then began providing medical assistance to the victim. GTEMS and Paramedics from Virtua Hospital arrived on scene and took over medical treatment of the victim who was transported to Cooper hospital for treatment of her injuries.
An investigation revealed that the woman was attempting to place items into the trunk of the vehicle when the victim’s 84 year old sister exited the driver’s seat to assist her, police said.

The vehicle then rolled backwards and struck the victim, knocking her to the ground and pinning her under the vehicle, police said.
The following agencies responded to assist with the incident: Glendora Fire Department, Chews Landing Fire Department, Virtua Paramedics and G.T.E.M.S.
The investigation is ongoing and no charges have been filed. The names of the individuals involved are being withheld pending notification to family.
