Acclaimed Pediatrician Named To Camden County College BOT
Dr. S. Jay Mirmanesh will take the place of William Spearman, who stepped down from the Board when appointed to serve as an assemblyman.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ - A board-certified pediatrician has been named to the Camden County College Board of Trustees, the college announced.
Dr. S. Jay Mirmanesh will take the place of William Spearman, who stepped down from the Board when appointed to serve as an assemblyman in Legislative District 5 in September.

Mirmanesh is a board-certified pediatrician, pediatric educator and a specialist in newborn intensive care. He completed his pediatric residency at the Medical College of Pennsylvania and his neonatology fellowship at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. He also received his MBA from the University of South Florida.
He was instrumental in founding the Newborn Intensive Care Unit at Virtua Memorial Hospital in Mount Holly. He later established the Newborn Intensive Care Unit at Easton Hospital in Easton, PA. He then founded the Center for Pediatric and Adult Medicine, which is now Advocare Mirmanesh Pediatric & Adult Medicine, with three offices located in Marlton, Voorhees, and Sicklerville.

“Dr. Mirmanesh is a tremendous addition to the Camden County College Board of Trustees,” Camden County College Board of Trustees Chair John Hanson said. “He is a medical doctor who owns and manages his own practice and will bring valuable insight and expertise to the College. Jay is committed to giving back to the community and has a long history of civic and community involvement. I am glad to have him on the CCC team.”
Mirmanesh is currently a Clinical Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Drexel University College of Medicine and served on their Medical Advisory Board. He is also a member of the Medical Executive Committee of Virtua Hospital and Vice President of the Medical Staff. He has been named a “Top Doc” in South Jersey Magazine for the past six years, Physician of the Year in New Jersey Magazine, and “Top Doc” Adolescent Medicine in South Jersey Magazine.
He has been elected as the Physician for the Philadelphia Flyers for the past 20 years. His practice also has been the site for teaching medical students, nurse practitioner students, and doctorate nursing students.
He lives in Voorhees with his wife, Lisa, who is also the practice administrator. Their son, Dr. John Mirmanesh, is also in practice with them. Their younger son, Dr. Michael Mirmanesh, will join the practice as a plastic surgeon along with his wife Dr. Devon Ganter, a pediatrician, in 2020.
