Luers has worked on “backchannel” diplomacy with Iran for nearly a decade, engaging with the U.S. and Iranian negotiation teams at the highest levels. He and fellow diplomats formed the independent, non-government entity The Iran Project in 2002 in an effort to improve relations between Iran and the United States. Luers has written numerous articles, op-ed pieces and reports on American diplomatic strategy with Iran and the implications of U.S. policy there. His presentation will provide unprecedented insight into the regional and national security implications of a nuclear agreement with Iran.

Admission is free and open to the public.
