Elementary School Fire Cancels Classes In South Jersey

LINDENWOLD, NJ — Lindenwold Elementary School #4 is closed on Wednesday due to a fire at the building, the school district said.

Maintenance and construction crew members were on site at the time when the fire broke out on Tuesday evening.

According to the district, everyone is safe.

Helicopter footage from NBC showed the multi-vehicle emergency response at the school.

Summer construction work that continued into the fall was going on at the time that the flames broke out, though it is unclear if that had any cause.
