CLEMENTON, NJ — Those thinking of gathering inside the closed site of Clementon Park & Splash World for a weekend game got a direct warning from local police.
"The Clementon Police Department will be increasing patrols in and around the park throughout the weekend," the Department said on social media.
The message to the community comes after a social media post inviting people to join in for a "hide-and-seek" game on the grounds, according to NJ Advance Media.
The owners of the theme park are selling the site. It is not, however, abandoned or vacant, and private security also monitors the area.
Clementon Police added that anyone found entering or trespassing without clearance will be subject to arrest and criminal charges.
"We encourage everyone to respect private property and refrain from participating in or encouraging this unlawful activity," police added.
