Arrest Made In Gloucester Township, Bellmawr and Lawnside Bank Robberies: Authorities

Nicholas Casaburri, 34, of Leominster, MA was arrested Wednesday afternoon.

Gloucester Township, NJ -- A Massachusetts man has been arrested in connection with bank robberies in Gloucester Township, Bellmawr and Lawnside, authorities said Thursday night.

Nicholas Casaburri, 34, of Leominster, MA, is charged with one count of second-degree robbery, two counts of first-degree armed robbery, two counts of unlawful possession of a weapon, and two counts of second-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.

He was arrested on the 1900 block of South 19th Street in Philadelphia by detectives from the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office and the US Marshal Fugitive Task Force at about 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 21.

Casaburri is accused robbing a TD Bank in the Blackwood section of Gloucester Township, a TD Bank in Bellmawr and a BB&T Bank in Lawnside. Casaburri is also facing criminal charges for bank robbery in Pennsylvania.

Police allege Casaburri was carrying a black semi-automatic handgun when he demanded money from the tellers in Bellmawr and Lawnside, but not during the robbery in Gloucester Township.

He is being held without bail in Pennsylvania.
