Blackwood Woman, Glassboro Man Charged With Human Trafficking

A Gloucester Township woman and a Glassboro man have been charged with prostituting a 16-year-old girl by offering her sexual services on the Internet, the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office announced Thursday morning.

Jennie Norcross, 26, of the Blackwood section of the township, and Levin Orr, 27, were charged with committing human trafficking “by knowingly holding, recruiting, luring, enticing, harboring, transporting or providing by any means (the prostitute’s name, identified only by initials) to engage in sexual activity while under the age of 18.”

They are also charged with conspiring to commit human trafficking.

Norcross has three children, who are now under the supervision of the New Jersey Division of Families following this incident.

The two were arrested on Tuesday following an investigation conducted by the Major Crimes Unit of the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office.

Orr was arrested at his residence. Norcross was taken into custody at a North Broad Street address in Woodbury.

“Human trafficking is a terrible crime that destroys lives and threatens the safety of our communities,” Gloucester County Prosecutor Sean F. Dalton said.  “I appreciate the work of our Major Crimes Unit, partnering with the Westville Police Department, in making these arrests.”

Each suspect is being held in default of $100,000 bail.

The New Jersey Attorney General’s Office has been notified as required of the human trafficking charges.
