Camden County College Partners With Rutgers-Camden On 5 Bachelor's Degree Programs

The latest partnership offers a seamless transition for political science majors.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — Camden County College now offers five bachelor’s degree programs at its Blackwood campus due to an arrangement with Rutgers University-Camden, the schools announced on Wednesday. The schools finalized an agreement to allow Camden County College students the chance to earn a bachelor’s degree in political science seamlessly from Rutgers–Camden upon completion of their associate’s degree. The colleges already offer similar programs for business administration, criminal justice, liberal studies, and psychology.

Students admitted to Camden County College who plan to pursue an associate of arts, an associate of fine arts, or an associate of science degree are conditionally admitted to Rutgers–Camden under a seamless transfer agreement.

The political science program builds an in-depth understanding of politics and government with challenging courses in public policy, international politics, and methodology.

These majors learn to think critically about the nature of citizenship, rights, and duties in the modern world against the backdrop of economic, political, security, and international crises.

Students in this major may also apply to receive the specialized Rutgers certificate program in national security studies, which provides additional credentials for a wide range of professional pursuits.

Students with a completed associate of arts and sciences (AAS) in paralegal studies from Camden County College can transfer up to 36 credits as restricted free electives toward their Rutgers degree.

Rutgers University–Camden also offers its Bridging the Gap tuition reduction program allows students to earn both their associate’s degree from Camden County College and their bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University-Camden for $20,000 or less. The schools also partner on initiatives such as the University District Bookstore, which serves students on the Camden campuses of Rutgers, Rowan, and Camden County College. Students at Camden County College’s Camden campus have the ability to use a number of services at the Rutgers University-Camden campus, including the Rutgers research library system.
