Camden County Extends Coronavirus Drive-Thru Testing Services
The site, originally scheduled to close April 15, will remain open.

CAMDEN COUNTY, NJ — The coronavirus drive-through testing site at Cooper's Poynt Park will remain open until further notice, Camden County officials announced on Thursday.
The site, set up at 801 Delaware Avenue in Camden City was originally set to close April 15, but officials said they have decided to leave it open based on current projections. Its hours will remain Monday through Friday, noon to 4 p.m.
“This testing site has become an important location serving the needs of the citizens of Camden County as we work together to fight the COVID-19 outbreak,” Camden County Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli Jr. said. “At this crucial time, it is important that this testing facility remain open to serve the public. Utilization will be closely monitored and if the need diminishes or other patient care needs emerge, the team will reevaluate the operation of the site.”

The testing site is open to Camden County residents, by appointment, who have symptoms and meet other criteria, and who have received a referral for testing from a medical provider (at Cooper, Virtua, CamCare, or other provider).
In addition to this joint testing location, Virtua performs COVID-19 testing at its five hospitals and operates a by-appointment drive-thru clinic prioritized for symptomatic healthcare workers and first responders.
Cooper also operates a community based COVID-19 testing collection site in Cherry Hill and performs tests for hospitalized patients and Cooper staff through its own medical laboratory.
