Church Street to Close as Blackwood Lake Dam Project Re-Starts in Gloucester Township

Work is expected to last through July.

Gloucester Township, NJ -- Church Street will be closed through July 15 as the Blackwood Lake Dam project has re-started, township officials said this week.

“The contractor intends to complete the project by the end of July. Church Street will be closed for approximately two weeks to allow efficient grouting operation,” Gloucester Township Mayor David Mayer said. “Other remaining work includes installation of new sluice gate, drainage pipe replacement, grouting, and the installation of gabions on the upstream face of the dam.”

Anyone with questions can call the Mayor’s Office at 856-374-3514.
