Disgraced Ex-Airman In South Jersey Had Child Porn While On Probation: Feds
The man, who was discharged from the Air Force, was previously sent to prison for receiving child pornography.
WILLIAMSTOWN, NJ — A disgraced ex-member of the U.S. Air Force, who lives in South Jersey, once again faces charges related to child pornography.
Kyle Daniel Reese, of Williamstown, was charged Wednesday with one count of child-pornography possession. The 29-year-old appeared in federal court that day and was detained.
In October and November 2020, Reese was serving home detention for a prior federal conviction for receiving child pornography. Reese's probation officer found the material on the man's iPhone, which had 86 files containing child pornography, according to federal officials.

Reese's federal conviction stems from a 2015 investigation, when federal agents found more than 600 images and five videos of child pornography on his personal computer. Reese, then a Sicklerville resident, was stationed at Barksdale Air Force Base in Louisiana.
Later that year, Reese pleaded guilty to one count of receiving child pornography. A federal judge in Shreveport, Louisiana, sentenced him in January 2016 to eight years in prison and five years of supervised release. He also had to register as a sex offender.

The Air Force discharged Reese before his sentencing.
Reese got out of prison early and began home detention in September 2020 at his Sicklerville home. As a condition of his supervised release, he was prohibited from possessing any "sexually arousing material, including child pornography," according to court documents.
The probation officer conducted an initial investigation of Reese's iPhone on July 7, 2021, finding "several dozen sexually graphic images," the criminal complaint states. During another routine inspection on Aug. 24 that year, the officer saw additional sexually explicit material, along with a virtual private network (VPN) and other mobile applications meant to disguise data and internet history, federal authorities said.
A judge signed an order the following Oct. 19 adding a condition to Reese's supervised release, requiring him to submit to searches that included his computer and other devices. Two days later, Reese revealed to the probation officer during a home visit that he used two unmonitored devices to view child pornography, according to court documents. The devices were in his mother's possession, authorities said.
Federal officials seized the devices and found 86 files, including 72 images and eight GIFs depicting child pornography, the complaint states.
If convicted, possession of child pornography carries 10-20 years in prison and a fine of $250,000.
