Donald Norcross Set to Join Congress on Regular Basis
Norcross was sworn into Congress to fill Rob Andrews' unexpired term on Nov. 12. The 114th Congress will be sworn in Tuesday.

Donald Norcross officially joins the 114th Congress on Tuesday after spending a month and a half filling the unexpired term as Rob Andrews.
Norcross, a Democrat, will represent New Jersey’s First Congressional District after defeating Garry Cobb in November’s elections. He has served since being sworn in Nov. 12 to fill the unexpired term, and will begin his normal two-year term on Tuesday.
“I am truly humbled and honored to represent the people of New Jersey’s First Congressional District,” Norcross said on Monday. “My life and career have always pointed me in the direction of public service, and I look forward to rolling up my sleeves and working with people of all backgrounds and beliefs to tackle the many challenges facing our community.”

“We have a lot of work to do, but creating jobs for South Jersey families remains my top priority. By investing in our region’s strengths – such as our unique infrastructure of ports, railways, roads and bridges as well as our renowned energy, education, defense and health care industries – we can create new opportunities for middle class families,” Norcross said. “As a lifelong resident of South Jersey, I am proud to represent the place that is my home. I look forward to working with all my colleagues in the days ahead to serve this great nation and its people.”
