Hey kids! On Saturday, April 16th, turn off that TV, grab your bike and helmet, and come celebrate Global Youth Service Day at Project REcycle by participating in a day of awesome bike events. This will take place on the campus quad of Rutgers University-Camden.
Don't have a bike or helmet? No problem! We'll be giving out refurbished bikes and new helmets for free on a first-come, first-served basis to kids in need.
In the morning, we'll have bicycle safety workshops taught by certified instructors from The League of American Bicyclists; upon completion, you'll earn an embroidered patch. Then we'll head off on a group bike ride that will include stations where you can practice your newly learned skills. Afterward, we'll eat, drink, and dance to a DJ.
