Ex-School Employee Sexually Assaulted Student In South Jersey: Prosecutor
He had 'consensual and non-consensual' sex with the 16-year-old multiple times while working as a school security specialist.
MILLVILLE, NJ — A former school security specialist sexually assaulted a student from the South Jersey school at which he worked, authorities said Wednesday.
JT Banks had "consensual and non-consensual" sex with a Millville Senior High School student multiple times from October to July, according to the Cumberland County Prosecutor's Office (CCPO).
Banks, 54, was a contract employee with the Millville School District while working for a security company, officials said. The victim, 16, was a student at the school when the offenses took place, according to the CCPO.

The Millville man was charged Wednesday with two counts of sexual assault and one count of endangering the welfare of a child — all second-degree crimes.
Banks faces charges under two different sexual-assault laws — one for sexual assault with force after the victim said she didn't want intercourse, and another for having sex with a victim 16-17 years of age while having a supervisory role over her — officials said.

The state will move for pretrial detention.
