Police Identify Victim In Fatal Gloucester Township Hit-And-Run
The family of 50-year-old Patti Mills, who was killed in a hit-and-run accident in Blackwood, is begging for the driver to come forward.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — The family of a 50-year-old Lindenwold woman who was killed in a hit-and-run accident in Gloucester Township Friday night is pleading for the driver who hit her to come forward.
Gloucester Township police have identified the victim of Friday night's fatal accident on the 2000 block of College Drive as 50-year-old Patricia M. Mills, of Lindenwold.
"Officers continue to conduct interviews and review evidence in hopes of identifying the driver of the vehicle," Lt. Timothy R. Kohlmeyer said in an email Monday morning. "No charges or arrests have been made at this time."

Mills was walking across the street from Urgent Care to ShopRite to fill her prescription when she was hit, her mother Trudy Redstreke told CBS 3. “ … I just want someone to please to come forward.”
Mills was unconscious and not breathing, and suffering life-threatening injuries when police arrived. First responders on the scene began rendering aid, but their efforts failed. She was pronounced deceased on the scene, police said.

The driver kept going after the crash, and still had not been found as of Monday morning. Police found the car abandoned in a nearby neighborhood after interviewing witnesses on the scene and viewing surveillance video of the crash. Mills leaves behind three sons, four grandchildren and four siblings, according to her online obituary. Her mother is still alive, but her father is deceased.
Two of her children are adults, and the other is 11 years old, according to Fox 29. Her husband died two years ago.
Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, Nov. 6, at Ora L. Wooster Funeral Home, 51 Park Boulevard in Clementon. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the family c/o the Funeral Home would be appreciated.
