Free Event Exploring Communication on Teen Sex at Highland High School This Week
Highland Regional High School's Teen PEP Family Night is Wednesday night, 7 p.m.

Gloucester Township, NJ -- Highland Regional High School’s Teen PEP Family Night, a free event a free event that provides parents/guardians and teenagers with an forum that encourages open communication on issues of sexual health, takes place this week.
It will be held on Wednesday, April 6, 7 p.m., in the high school’s media center, and is open to all Highland students and their parents or guardians.
“The goal of this workshop is to decrease some of the fears and discomfort surrounding talking about sex and sexuality,” school officials said in a release on Tuesday. “Peer educators present dramatic skits to explore examples of common situations between parents/guardians and teens. The skits are used as a catalyst for exploring attitudes and values about sexuality.”

Participants then discuss the the messages they received on these topics and identify the messages they would like to communicate with their children in small group discussions.
There will also be a panel discussion where parents/guardians can pose questions to Teen PEP peer educators about various issues confronting teenagers.

Light Refreshments will be provided by the Black Horse Pike Education Association.
