Free Naloxone Training in Gloucester Township Next Week
The Overdose Prevention Act allows doctors the ability to prescribe Narcan to those in a position to help those with addiction problems.

The Gloucester Township Police Department is hosting a free naloxone training session led by Patti DiRenzo, an addiction prevention advocate, on Tuesday, Sept. 15, 7 p.m.-9 p.m., at the GTPD Family Resource Center- 1324 Little Gloucester Road in the Blackwood section of the township.
All attendees will receive a free Evzio auto-injector naloxone unit. Information regarding the Evzio product can be found at evzio.com.
The Overdose Prevention Act now allows doctors the ability to prescribe the opiate antidote Narcan (naloxone) to those in a position to help someone else during an overdose of heroin or other opioids. The law also eliminates civil and criminal liability to anyone who administers naloxone.
