Gloucester County Man Charged In Fatal Shooting Of Winslow Man

Aaron Aycox, 18, of Williamstown, was arrested on Feb. 15.

A Gloucester County man has been arrested and charged in the fatal shooting of 20-year-old Michael Branham, of Winslow Township.

Aaron Aycox, 18, of Williamstown, is charged with first-degree murder, Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Winslow Township Police Chief George Smith said.

Branham was shot while sitting in his car at the Victoria Manor Court in Sicklerville at about 5:54 p.m. on Jan. 24.

Police found him while responding to a 911 call. He was taken to Kennedy University Hospital, Washington Township, where he was pronounced dead at about 7:10 p.m.

Aycox was arrested by members of the U.S. Marshals Service Regional Fugitive Task Force in Camden on Feb. 15.

He was remanded to the Camden County Jail pending the pretrial detention hearing in accordance with the New Jersey Bail Reform. Under the recent Criminal Justice Reform rules, the court may order Aycox be detained without bail or released with conditions.

His hearing was scheduled for Tuesday morning.
