Gloucester Girl, 8, Badly Burned In Fire Pit Accident: Police

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ - An 8-year-old girl was badly burned after she accidentally fell into a fire pit on Tuesday night, Gloucester Township police announced.

The girl was treated on the scene for burns to her back and hand after she fell into the fire pit at Camelot Court in the Clementon section of the township at about 8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 23, police said.

After being treated by emergency medical personnel, she was taken to St. Christopher's Hospital in Philadelphia by helicopter as a precaution, police said. No further information was immediately provided on Tuesday night.
