3-Year-Old Gloucester Township Girl Found Safe: Police

Police have found a 3-year-old girl safe, but have not yet had contact with her father.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — A 3-year-old girl who was reported missing along with her father early Thursday morning has been found safe, Gloucester Township police said Thursday afternoon.

Family members have spoken to her father, but police have not had contact with him as of Thursday afternoon, according to the Gloucester Township police department.

Earlier in the day, police said that 31-year-old Jose Diaz and his daughter, Leih Diaz, were last seen leaving the area of their home in the Clementon section of Gloucester Township in a 2014 burgandy Honda Accord at about 9 p.m. Wednesday.

Diaz is described as a 5’9,” 250-pound Black man with brown eyes and brown hair. He was last seen wearing a black or dark-colored jacket. An image of him with his daughter, provided by Gloucester Township police, can be found below.
