Gloucester Twp. Man Killed In NJ Shooting, Police Seek Answers: Prosecutor

Authorities haven't announced any arrests related to the Mercer County incident.

HAMILTON TOWNSHIP, NJ — A 28-year-old Blackwood man died after an early morning shooting Wednesday in Hamilton Township, said Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri.

Hamilton police officers responded to a shooting in progress in the 4900 block of S. Broad Street shortly after 1 a.m. on Wednesday, Onofri said.

On arrival, officers found Matthew Morales, of Blackwood, suffering from a gunshot wound. Morales was taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead a short time later, according to authorities.

No arrests have been made. The Mercer County Homicide Task Force and the Hamilton Police Division are investigating.
