Gloucester Township Police Charge Drug Dealer Following Major Bust
Police investigated Tyryn C. Russell in September and October before executing a search warrant on Saturday.

Gloucester Township Police concluded a monthlong investigation into the actions of an alleged drug dealer with the arrest of the dealer and the seizure of a significant amount of prescription pills, police announced Tuesday morning.
Tyryn C. Russell, 34, of Gloucester Township, was charged with distribution of CDS (2nd degree), distribution of CDS (3rd degree), possession of CDS (3rd degree), and possession of drug Paraphernalia (disorderly persons) following the execution of a search warrant at his home on the 100 block of La Cascata, Clementon.
Police targeted Russell for investigation in September and October after receiving information that Russell was distributing significant quantities of pills, specifically Oxycodone Hydrochloride 30 mg from his residence.

On Saturday, Oct. 11, the Gloucester Township Special Investigations Unit, Juvenile Unit, and Special Response Team executed a search warrant at Russell’s home and recovered a significant amount of prescription pills, including oxydocone, suboxone, endocet alprazolam, amphetamines, methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA) also known as “Mollies”, a significant amount of cash, and numerous packaging materials.
The Gloucester Township Police Department’s Juvenile Unit which included a specially trained Detective and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker offered counseling services to the adult female and three children who were home at the time of the search, seizure and arrest.

The New Jersey Division of Child Protection and Permanency were notified as well. The woman was released without charges.
Russell was remanded in default of $75,000.00 full cash bail.
This incident is part of the continued effort in addressing the national problem of drug abuse, more specifically prescription pills, police said.
“Oxycodone Hydrochloride is a highly addictive drug where addiction use has been associated with crime because many addicted people turn to theft, prostitution, and various other criminal activities to obtain money to buy the drug,” police said in a Nixle alert issued Tuesday morning. “The Gloucester Township Police Department has implemented a number of initiatives and programs to combat this growing abuse of prescription pills.”
