Gloucester Township Police Participate in 9/11 Memorial Service
Police encourage residents to continue to speak up when they see something suspicious in the community.

Gloucester Township officials participated in a National Remembrance dedicated to those who died in the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks Thursday morning.
Participating officials included Gloucester Township Mayor David Mayer, the Gloucester Township Police Department, members of the Chews Landing Fire Company, Blenheim Fire Company, Blackwood Fire Company and Gloucester Township Emergency Management Services.
Gloucester Township Police reiterated their commitment to responding to emergencies and crises.

“Residents are needed to come forward and provide valuable information,” police said in a statement following the event. “If you see something suspicious in your community please contact law enforcement and we will take your call seriously and investigate the incident. What you see and report may be invaluable and may save lives.
“Suspicious activities can refer to incidents, events, individuals or circumstances that seem unusual or out of place. Someone loitering around a school is simple example of suspicious activity that should reported by calling 911. Never put yourself in danger when reporting suspicious activity.”
