Students in Gloucester Township Public Schools honored and celebrated Veterans Day in many ways.

Veterans were invited into schools across the district for activities such as breakfast, lunch, assemblies, classroom visits, and other events. They were proud to honor our nation’s heroes, and were blessed to learn of the meaning and challenges of services.

Perhaps the capstone of the week, Gloucester Township School hosted its 39th Americanism Assembly on Friday, November 13. Students performed patriotic songs and drama as hundreds of guests including, Veterans, Miss New Jersey, state and local politicians, and district administration watched. The school was recognized with a medal by the National AMVETS organization for their continued support of Americanism.
