Gloucester Township Restaurants, Bars Close, Moving To Takeout

After Gov. Phil Murphy called for bars and restaurants to close at 8 p.m. Monday night, local businesses are offering takeout.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — Bars and restaurants in Gloucester Township are reacting after Gov. Phil Murphy announced that non-essential businesses would shut down at 8 p.m. Monday to prevent the further spread of new coronavirus in the state.

On Monday morning, Murphy said all movie theaters, restaurants, gyms and casinos in New Jersey will close in an attempt to flatten the curve of the spread. Read more here: NJ Coronavirus: Bars, Restaurants, Theaters To Shut

It's not clear when these businesses will be allowed to reopen fully, but restaurants will be permitted to offer take-out, as many businesses in Gloucester Township planned to.

Holy Tomato is open for curb side take out only. They will be open from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday from Sunday, and closed on Mondays.Auburn Road wines are available by the bottle and available for purchase. They are in the process of ironing out details on providing delivery and should have details soon.

Shana’s Wild Fig is doing take out only, with curb side pick up starting Wednesday. They are also adjusting their hours to further accommodate everyone. They will be posting their take out menu and their new hours shortly. They will continue to deep clean and sanitize everything.

Favorites at Gloucester Township closed at 7:30 p.m. Monday to comply with the governor’s wishes.

House of Brews shut down eat-in and drink services at 8 p.m. Monday night, but is still offering takeout orders.

The New Jersey Department of Health has partnered with the New Jersey Poison Information and Education System to open and operate a call center (1-800-222-1222) for public use regarding questions, concerns, and other information related to coronavirus spread in New Jersey.
