Gloucester Township Students Give Back To The Community
A group of students from Glendora Elementary and Glen Landing Middle schools spent the holiday making cards and chemo snack packs.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ - A group of students from Glendora Elementary and Glen Landing Middle schools spent Martin Luther King Day making cards and chemo snack packs for adults. The children in the photo attached to this post range in age from second to eighth grades.
- Six have participated in Alex’s Lemonade Stands for Childhood cancer research;
- One has had a drive for playdough three times for CHOP’s child life department;
- Two have assisted their grandfather in driving trucks of food and clothing to hurricane victims;
- Three are involved in groups that give back to the homeless;
- More than four have been recognized as student of the month or star student;
- Three have donated stuffed animals and mittens to CHOP; and
- Three are involved in St Baldricks raising money for childhood cancer.
“They enjoy seeing others smile,” said Lillian Pieczara said. “They are all heroes as they rally behind one of the children here who is in remission right now and make her feel good about helping others. They also have fantastic character for elementary school children and aren’t afraid to stand out be positive leaders.”
The students in the photo were identified as follows: Miles age 10; Evan age 10; Aubrey age7; Morgan age 7; Collin age 8; Brenna age 10; Mackenzie age 13; and Rileigh age 10.
