Grace was elected to the school board in 2018, when she ran alongside Anthony Marks and Brian Reagan. With Grace’s appointment, Marks is the only person elected that year who remains a member of the board.

The seats were for three-year terms, so whoever is appointed to Grace’s seat would be appointed for the rest of her term. That person would also be eligible to run in next year’s general elections.
