GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — Gov. Phil Murphy released new state aid figures on Wednesday, including the specifics on a reduction of state aid that had been allocated for both of Gloucester Township’s school districts from February.

The Black Horse Pike Regional School District — which includes Highland, Timber Creek and Triton regional high schools — will receive $34,813,097 in state aid for the 2020-21 school year. This is down by $399,158 from the $35,212,255 in state aid announced by the state in February, before the coronavirus pandemic took hold.

However, it is up from the $34,533,999 in state aid the district received for the 2019-20 school year. The difference is $279,098, or 0.8 percent.
