Intoxicated Driver Sparks Fiery Crash In South Jersey: Police

The driver was taken to the hospital and subsequently charged with driving while intoxicated.

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ — An intoxicated driver caused a fiery, one-car crash Thursday night in Washington Township, officials said.

The one-vehicle crash occurred at 11:46 p.m. on Greentree Road at Greenview Drive, according to police. The car caught fire, and the driver was entrapped.

Officials took the driver to Jefferson Hospital for unspecified injuries. She was subsequently charged with driving while intoxicated.

Police haven't publicly identified the driver. The crash remains under investigation.
