Lindenwold Man Sentenced After Admitting To $140,000 Insurance Fraud Claim Against Aflac: Authorities
Steven Herder claimed his sons had 5 hospital stays in Voorhees, and attempted to defraud Aflac out of over $170,000.

A father of twin boys from Lindenwold has been sentenced to three years in prison for submitting more than $140,000 in fraudulent claims for hospital stays the boys never had, Attorney General Christopher S. Porrino and the Office of the Insurance Fraud Prosecutor said on Monday.
Steven Herder, 41, of Lindenwold, must also pay $140,000 in restitution to his insurer, American Family Life Assurance Company (“Aflac”).
He previously pleaded guilty to second-degree insurance fraud for filing five false claims to Aflac between June 2012 and November 2014.
