Long-Term Roadwork To Impact Traffic In Gloucester Township: See Details

New sidewalks and other roadway features are being installed.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — The Evesham Road Improvement Project began on Monday and will affect roads in the area for 180 days.

The work will be done in phases, the Gloucester Township Police Department said, between West Clements Bridge Road and Schubert Avenue in Runnemede.

Beginning Monday, Evesham Road will be one-way from Black Horse Pike toward Deptford (Clements Bridge Road/Station Avenue Point).

Traffic entering from Deptford will be rerouted onto Clements Bridge Road and Station Avenue.

Temporary signs and officers will be on site during the duration of the project for traffic control and awareness.

The completion of the Evesham Road Improvement Project will bring new roadway reconstruction and resurfacing from West Clements Bridge Road (NJ-41) to Schubert Avenue. (CR-736).

New concrete curb, sidewalk, and driveway aprons will also be installed.

Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)-friendly ramps are also being constructed at all intersections.

Modular block retaining walls and improvements to existing storm and sanitary sewer systems are included, along with traffic striping, regulatory signage, and raised pavement markers.
