Man Critically Injured In Attempted Gas Station Robbery: Camden County Officials

Camden County Police seek a suspect in the shooting of a man during an attempted robbery Monday night.

LINDENWOLD, NJ — Officials seek a suspect after a shooting during an attempted gas station robbery left a South Jersey man in critical condition.

Camden County and Lindenwold police responded to a shooting call at 10 p.m. Monday at the Gastrol Gas Station on East Gibbsboro Road, said officials. A 50-year-old Marlton resident was shot in an attempted robbery there, said Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay and Lindenwold Police Chief Michael McCarthy, Jr. in a news release.

First responders took the victim to Cooper University Hospital, where he is in critical condition as of Tuesday afternoon, according to officials.

The prosecutor's office did not specify if the injured man was a customer or an employee at the gas station, citing the ongoing investigation.
