Man Killed After Being Hit By Car In Atco: Police

He was trying to cross the road, early evidence showed.

ATCO, NJ — A man is dead after being hit by a driver along White Horse Pike (Route 30) on March 27, Waterford Police said.

At around 5:45 a.m., officers responded to a report of a vehicle crash involving a pedestrian near Vineyard Road in the Atco area.

Early evidence suggested that a driver traveling east on White Horse Pike hit the man who was trying to cross the road.

Marc Kafitin, 51, of Voorhees, died from his injuries, officials said.

The driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating with authorities.
