New Images Emerge In Road-Rage Shooting Near Walt Whitman Bridge

A Cherry Hill man was killed in the incident, according to police.

MOUNT EPHRAIM BOROUGH, NJ — New Jersey State Police have released pictures that were taken the night of what they called a deadly road rage-related shooting near the Walt Whitman Bridge.

The pictures come from surveillance video taken on the bridge the night of the incident, and have arrows pointing towards a black car that is traveling behind another black car. The pictures can be seen on the state police's Facebook page or by clicking here.

The two cars were traveling on Interstate 76 East in Philadelphia on Jan. 24 when they crossed over the bridge into New Jersey, according to a post on the New Jersey State Police Department's Facebook page. At some point, the drivers became involved in a "road rage" incident, officials said.

At about 10:32 p.m. that night, state police were called to a one-car accident at Interstate 76 eastbound at milepost 0.4, the post said. When troopers arrived, they discovered the driver of a black 2004 Mercedes Benz 500 had been shot and killed, the post continued.

The victim was later identified the victim as Louis E. Ciccanti Jr. of Cherry Hill. According to the Willingboro Police Department's website, Ciccanti is also the brother of a retired Willingboro police sergeant.
