New Year, New Options: Open House on Career Programs Planned Jan. 8
Short-term occupational training and career studies will be featured at the Camden County Career Institute/Camden County College event.

Rewarding jobs await those who invest in short-term occupational training and career studies offered through Camden County Career Institute and Camden County College. An educational open house for prospective students interested in such programs will be held Jan. 8 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
The event will take place on the campus of Camden County Technical Schools in Sicklerville, where a majority of the trade training programs are offered. It will be held in the cafetorium of Building 4 at 343 Berlin-Cross Keys Road.
Open house attendees will be able to learn about each of the short-term job-preparation programs offered by the Camden County Career Institute and by Camden County College. Institute occupational training includes electrical, HVAC and plumbing apprenticeships, automotive technology, medical assistant, cosmetology, culinary arts/restaurant operations, dialysis technician, electrical technology, HVAC, veterinary examination room assistant and welding. College career studies include certificate and associate degree programs in addictions counseling, behavioral health, culinary arts, dental assisting, dental hygiene, developmental disabilities, dietetic technology, electronic health records, food services management, forensic science, health information technology, health science, hospitality technology, hotel and restaurant management, human services, international healthcare, medical assistant, medical coding, medical laboratory technology, meeting and event planning, multi-skilled healthcare technician, nutrition care manager, paramedic sciences, personal training, practical nursing, ophthalmic science, respiratory therapy, social services, surgical technology and veterinary technology.

Attendees also will have the opportunity to meet program instructors, speak with staff and register for classes. Some of these begin as early as January and February, with a majority beginning in Fall 2015, and daytime and evening sessions are available. Early registration for non-credit trade training programs only will be available during this event.
In addition, current students will demonstrate what they’ve learned in their programs. Attendees may enjoy refreshments prepared by culinary arts students, receive hand massages from cosmetology students and have their vital signs checked by medical assisting students.
