NJ 1st District Election: Norcross, Gustafson Set For November
Incumbent Democrat Donald Norcross and Republican challenger Claire Gustafson each ran in uncontested primaries on Tuesday.
The stage is set for November's general election in New Jersey's First Congressional District between incumbent Democrat Donald Norcross and Republican challenger Claire Gustafson.
Norcross and Gustafson each ran unopposed in their respective primaries on Tuesday. New Jersey's First Congressional District includes parts of Burlington, Camden and Gloucester counties.
Norcross has served as the district's representative since 2015. He defeated Republican Garry Cobb in a race for the seat vacated by Rob Andrews in 2014. In 2016, he fended off a challenge from Republican Bob Patterson, and in 2018, he defeated Republican Paul Dilks.

Gustafson is a former Collingswood Board of Education member who describes herself as unapologetically Republican and a supporter of President Donald Trump.
The primary had been delayed for over a month by the coronavirus pandemic. Election Day is Nov. 3.
