Passenger Killed In Camden County Crash: Police

The victim, 77, was entrapped and unconscious, authorities said.

STRATFORD, NJ — An elderly woman died in a crash Thursday in Stratford, officials said.

Officers responded at 3:39 p.m. to the two-vehicle collision at the White Horse Pike and Wellington Avenue. A passenger was entrapped and unconscious, said Police Chief Ronald M. Morello.

Once extricated, officials took the 77-year-old woman to Jefferson Stratford Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.

Nobody else sustained injuries.

The decedent hasn't been publicly identified as of Friday morning, with officials working to notify kin.

Thirty-seven people have died in crashes on Camden County's roadways so far this year — compared to 49 through this time last year — according to state data. But five people in the county have fallen victim to deadly collisions since Nov. 13, including four on the White Horse Pike.
