Pedestrian Struck, Seriously Hurt While Crossing Street In Gloucester Twp.: Police

The pedestrian was last reported to be in serious but stable condition.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — A vehicle struck and seriously injured a pedestrian Tuesday evening in Gloucester Township, police said.

The pedestrian was hit while they crossed the street at about 7:20 p.m. by College Drive and Erial Road, authorities said. They were transported to Cooper University Hospital and were in serious but stable condition as of late Wednesday morning.

Police withheld the victim's name, pending notifications and further investigation.

The driver, who police also haven't publicly identified, remained on-scene and wasn't injured.

College Drive eastbound was closed for about 2.5 hours after the collision. The Serious Crash Investigation Team of the Gloucester Township Police Department is investigating the crash.
