GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — The Johnny Longhots menu offers a crossover between cuisine from New York and Philadelphia, and it's taking over South Jersey. The eatery plans to open another location in Gloucester Township.

Johnny Longhots is "coming soon" to The Shoppes at Cross Keys, the shopping center announced. With offerings including cheesesteaks (in proper Philadelphian, just called "steaks"), pizza and stuffed longhots, Johnny Longhots describes itself as "where New York meets Philadelphia."

"Longhots" refer to Italian long hot peppers — a lengthy, skinny pepper with a bit of kick that's popular in Philadelphia.
