Phone Reminders Now Available For Gloucester Township Library Patrons
You can now be notified by phone that reading materials are due back at the library, and that books on hold are ready for your pickup.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — Gloucester Township residents who have ever taken a book out of the library and were unsure when it needed to be returned, became too engrossed in it and didn’t check the calendar, or just plum forgot are getting a little help from the library.
The Camden County Library System is now using automated phone messages to provide information to the public, library officials said this week.
“You can now be notified by phone that reading materials are due back at the library, and that books on hold are ready for your pickup,” Camden County Freeholder Bill Moen, liaison to the Camden County Library System, said. “You can also use the automated system to check on the status of your held book requests and renew items you have already borrowed.”

The new telephone system replaces mailed notices for book holds and return reminders, making the notification process faster and more efficient. Library users can also choose to be contacted by the library system by email, or by both phone and email.
“The Camden County Library System constantly strives to provide the most beneficial and cost effective services to its member communities by utilizing the latest technologies that are available,” Moen said.
To select their preferences, library patrons can log into their My CamCat accounts at https://catalog.camdencountylibrary.org and click on the “your messaging” tab. There they can choose to receive phone notifications, email notifications or both.

They can also select to receive reminder notices three days before their checked materials are due, and can receive notices when holds they have placed are ready to be picked up. System users are also welcome to visit their local branch for staff assistance.
