Police Investigate Fatal Shooting in South Jersey

Police are investigating a fatal shooting that took place in South Jersey on Saturday.

Authorities found Luis A. Feliu, 28, of Camden, suffering from gunshot wounds at the corner of Haddon Avenue and Mount Vernon Street in Camden around 5:20 p.m. while responding to a report of an altercation as well as a ShotSpotter activation for multiple gunshots, Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Camden County Police Chief Scott Thomson said Sunday night.

He was transported to Cooper University Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at 5:44 p.m.

The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
