Police Seek Suspects in 3 Armed Robberies in Gloucester Township, Washington Township

All three robberies took place last month.

Suspects wearing masks and using a kitchen-type knife allegedly robbed three convenience stores in the same area last month, the Gloucester Township and Washington Township police departments said Thursday morning.

The first armed robbery took place at the 7-Eleven Store on Church Street in the Blackwood section of Gloucester Township on Dec. 2 when a man entered the store, asked for cigarettes and then a produced a large knife from his left pocket and demanded money.

As the suspect attempted to exit the store, a long blue bag with a black carry strap fell from underneath his coat to the floor. The suspect retrieved the bag and fled the area.

He is described as a thin black man about 20 years old, wearing a plaid “Jeff Cap”, a long black coat with an exposed zipper, dark pants, black and white sneakers, and a blue latex glove on his right hand.

Three suspects wearing masks returned to the same store on Dec. 6 and demanded money from the clerk while displaying a large knife.

The suspects in that incident are described as follows:

-Suspect #1 was wearing an American Eagle/ AE dark hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, white sneakers, and displayed a large knife to the clerk at the back of the store.

-Suspect #2, who appears to be very tall, was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, jeans with bleach stains, dark shoes. and was on a cellular phone during the robbery.

-Suspect #3 was wearing a hooded sweatshirt with WILDWOOD in large letters in the front, gray striped pants, and white sneakers. He crawled by the counter and then went behind it to remove the cash from the register.

All three suspects fled on foot across from the store towards Theresa Place.

The third armed robbery took place at the Nik Nak Store on Woodbury Turnersville Road in Washington Township on Dec. 30.

The two suspects wearing masks entered the store and demanded money from the clerk while displaying a large knife.

The suspects in that incident are described as follows:

-Suspect #1 had a medium build and was wearing a black hood, dark gray jacket, light gray sweatpants, and black and white sneakers. This suspect displayed the large knife to the store clerk.

-Suspect #2 had a stocky build and was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with florescent green design on the front and a florescent green mo-hawk design attached to the hood, a mask with a skeleton face design, light gray sweatpants, and dark shoes.
